The Power of Note-taking - Paper or Digital?

There’s something so satisfying about grabbing a notebook and pen when inspiration strikes or when I need to sketch out an idea. But... I’ll admit, I sometimes struggle to keep track of all those pages and end up searching through a stack of notebooks to find what I need.

Not too long ago, my job involved a lot of note-taking, often with confidential content, so I decided to try digital note-taking. I invested in an Apple Pencil and the app 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺. While it’s not quite as quick as grabbing paper, it’s a game-changer for keeping everything organised. I can search my notes by keywords, sort them into folders, and even convert my handwriting to text. Plus, my drawings can turn into images, and I can insert other visuals into my notes, which is perfect for building mood boards and visual inspiration. What I love most is the flexibility: I can use different colours, move text and images around, and erase when needed—very handy for storyboarding (although my favourite will always be trusty post-its!). Sharing notes is simple, and everything is secure, which makes collaborating easy.

In reality, I still carry a notebook with me, but I wouldn't be without my digital notes now.

Anyone else love iPad note taking?
