The importance of typography

FYI: I love typography!

As a self-professed font junkie, I probably got a little too excited to find Julie Terberg’s, visual guide to choosing fonts for PowerPoint as few months ago. This document is a presentation designer’s dream.

Choosing the right fonts to communicate your story and create visual appeal is key. She emphasises the importance of understanding the purpose, maintaining readability, careful font pairings, and testing your designs to ensure they align with the overall communication goals of the project.

At its heart, design is the interplay of text and image, and presentation design epitomises this.
